The thoughts expressed below, either mine or quoted, shall most likely verify the speculation that my ignorance is, and always has been, instantaneous. If you read something here and you think it's brilliant, think about it a little more. And, if you read something here and you think it's stupid, think about it a little less.

Where Are You?

If Australia is "Down Under" and you don't live there, where are you?

Have A Great Day

— Mark Twain

The Fools Next Door

I'm thankful for the fools that live next door. If it weren't for them, I'd be the only idiot in the neighborhood.

Praise God For What I Remember

My wife and I have been married almost 44 years.
I forget the rest.

Only Believers Reach The "Inn"

The Road goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone.
Let others follow, if they can!
Let them a journey new begin.
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet."

Everyone Else Is Just A Politician

Chris Christie, Governor of New Jersey rips feds after clerical error costs New Jersey $400 million in school funding.

UPDATE:  An idiot with a death wish?   If I were Mr. Schundler, I'd move a long, long ways away from the state of New Jersey.

This Guy Knows What He's Talking About

Paul Ryan, Congressman from Wisconsin's 1st congressional district.

There is a A Roadmap For America's Future that he says will work.  I've heard Congressman Ryan talk about it and I've read about it and it sounds like just what this country needs.  He talked the other day about "crony capitalism".  This guy knows what he's talking about.  Crony politicians (Democrats and Republicans) need to listen to this guy and finally quit "kicking the can down the road".

Sounds Awfully Familiar

“The budget should be balanced, the treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome becomes bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance”.

Ironic Commitment

The Boy Scouts of America just finished their jamboree down the street from the White House.  They were celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts.  President Obama, like all presidents before him, was invited to attend.  He declined saying he had other "committments".

Mr. President, you have no idea what committment is.

This is "committment".

"Perception Is Everything", Mr. President.

Walmart vs Cosco

I like Cosco better than WalMart.  Cosco seems to have a much larger selection of merchandise, especially items you need to find in a hurry for those once in a lifetime occassions.

Brainless

Do you ever get the feeling that your brain wishes it were homeless.

Gutter Thoughts

If you're lying in the gutter and you're looking at the stars, there's still hope.  If you're lying in the gutter and you're looking at the ball, you're in big trouble.
